See that graph up there?

Looks flat for a while, right?

What you don’t see is that it stayed flat for five whole months.

No views.

No momentum.

I was embarrassed. I almost deleted the video—it took everything in me not to.

But I didn’t.

And that decision changed everything.

This isn’t a story about going viral. It’s about trusting the process, using YouTube as a tool—not for fame, but for freedom.

Part 1: The Embarrassing Beginning

The video was up for weeks.
No likes. No comments.
Not even a pity view from my mom.

I felt exposed.

Like I had shown up to the internet with something to say… and nobody cared.

I hovered over the delete button more than once.

But I use this saying all the time. Trust the process, NOT the progress, and I took hold of that.

Fast-forward five months later.

That video—untouched, unpromoted—started to gain traction.

Thousands of views.

Then tens of thousands.

Then HUNDREDS of thousands.

Ad revenue started rolling in.

Then came affiliate sales.

By the end of the year, that one video had made me over $30,000 and its still making me money today!

And a HUGE commission check!

This Blew Me Away.

I Didn't Even Think I could Make That Much Money From 1 Video!

All I Did Was Show Up With A Strategy. Press Publish. And Walk Away.

Had I trusted the progress I would have deleted that video right away.

YOU HAVE TO TRUST THE PROCESS.

But the question remains, why did that video take off?

IT Wasn’t luck. It wasn’t timing.

It was SEO—Search Engine Optimization.
I created a video around a
topic people were already searching for.

But don’t let that term scare you.

SEO is actually way simpler than most gurus make it seem.

They overcomplicate it so you feel like you need to hire them.

But once you understand how YouTube works as a search engine, everything changes.

You post the right video with the right title and keywords… and it can sit at the top of search results for years.

That’s what happened to me.
It’s still happening.

In fact, I have a number of videos that do this.

If you search for “how to make money selling dog treats” on YouTube you will find my video at the top search results.

And guess what? I posted it 3 years ago—and I don’t even have a dog.

But I found a girl making $4K/month selling dog treats and promoting a course about it.

I did my research. Used my SEO strategy. Filmed a video breaking down her story. At the end, I recommended her free workshop.

That’s it.

Today, I still get affiliate commissions from that one video.

It’s STILL at the top search result. And I made it once.

That’s what passive income really is:

You do the work once, and it keeps working for you.

Which brings me to my next point…

You Don’t Need to Be an Expert—You Just Need to Be Resourceful

When I made videos about Instacart, Amazon Flex, and DoorDash… I had never worked for any of those companies.

Instead, I interviewed people who had.

I wore a shirt to make it look more authentic.
I was honest, I said I interviewed someone that does this and want to share with you how it works so you can decide if this is right for you or not.

Each of those videos brought in thousands of views—and money.

It’s not about being the expert.

It’s about being the
messenger.

The result?

Each of those videos brought in thousands of views—and income.

I Used to Say I’d Never Be on Camera

I thought:

“I don’t sound professional enough.”

“I don’t like how I look.”

“What if nobody watches?”

But I also wanted:

To stay home with my kids

To never rely on a 9-5 again

To make money on my own terms

And when I found out Nate O’brien made $30k in just one month from ads, I said, where is my camera?

I was not going to let my fear of being in front of the camera stop me from making an income online where I could work on my own terms.

It’s not like I enjoy being on camera, but can I sacrifice 30 minutes a week to record a video? Yes.

You don’t have to love every part of the process.

You just have to love what it gives you.

So I recorded once a week.

Used a teleprompter so I didn’t ramble.

Posted consistently.

Then stepped away and let the algorithm do its thing.

The Results Started Slowly—Then Everything Changed

And it wasn’t a fluke—because I’ve repeated this process over and over again and it WORKS!

YouTube = The Smartest Way to Build Passive Income

- You don’t need to go viral.

- You don’t need a huge following.

- You don’t need to post every day.

You just need a searchable video with a clear message—and a way to monetize the attention.

So how do you get your videos at the top of the search results?

You be intentional. One hack is using the YouTube search bar.

If you have a topic in mind that you think your viewers might ask, start writing the question into the YouTube search bar.

Based on OTHER people's past searches, YouTube tries to answer your question before you ask it. This is the hack.

You can find out what people are searching for by looking at what YouTube finishes before me.

For example, I wanted to do a video on How to become a bookkeeper. BUT, I saw people were also looking for "How to become a bookkeeper with no experience".

That's much more targeted and specific. The more specific you can get the better, because it's less competition and you get the exact person you are looking for.

So, you know what I did? Yup. A video on How to become a Bookkeeper with no experience.

I included the words that I was targeting in the following 3 places:

- The title

- Description of the video

- I said the words in my video (YouTube transcribes what you say)

I'm telling YouTube what this video is about so when someone searches for this they will find my video.

There are many ways to find out what people are searching for and this is just one of them and its free!

I have a number of strategies that I use that I could go on and on about but if you're just getting started, start here.

And if you feel like you want more strategies and input from me, join the waitlist to my YouTube bootcamp.

If you’ve ever said, “I want to do YouTube, but I don’t know where to start or how to grow”

This is for you!

This is NOT a course, it’s a transformational experience that I'll be walking and coaching you through so you can understand...

- How to come up with content ideas people are already searching for

- How to script, film, and edit your videos (even if you hate being on camera)

- How to monetize with no product, no following, and no editing skills

- How to rank in search and get results long after you post

You won’t just walk away with knowledge. You’ll walk away with a system and actual videos published in just 4 weeks!

I only open this Bootcamp a few times a year—and it fills up fast.

And if you're reading this thinking,

“I’ve been waiting for a sign to finally start…”

This is it.

Because I almost deleted the video that made me over $100,000.

And I’ll never forget that.

One video really can change everything.

But only if you post it.

Hope to see you inside.
